War scenes in porcelain decorations

On porcelain from the Kangxi period are often found war scenes with horses and flags. They are typically popular scenes from Chinese opera or the classic Chinese novels from the Ming Dynasty, such as The Water Margin or The Dream of the Red Chamber.
