TITLE>Antique Chinese Porcelain Dictionary: Chine de Commande
Chine de Commande is a somewhat old-fashioned name of commissioned Chinese porcelain services and pieces decorated with Western subjects or armorial devices, or made in shapes after European models usually assuming a late 17th or 18th century date as in mostly the Qianlong period (1736-95). Today Chinese Export Porcelain has become the more common name in for example book titles covering the same subject; but the latter includes pretty much anything made for export regardless of age.
For typical examples see porcelain designs by Pronk, Cornelis (1691-1759)
