Tobi Seiji (Jp.)

Japanese term meaning "flying celadon" referring to celadon ware made at the Longquan kilns in Zhejiang province during the Yuan dynasty, which was decorated with iron-brown spots. A decorative feature much admired by contemporary Japanese patrons.
