Mudmen

Unfired pottery sculptures made by unfired clay, often with moveable parts such as nodding heads to make them even more lifelike. Many of these figures known in the west depicts early western East India captains and Chinese mandarins made in China and exported to the west as decorations to palaces and merchant's homes. Several are in the Chinese Pavillion at the Swedish Castle of Drottningholm.
