Lang kiln (Lang yao)

The imperial kilns at Jingdezhen under the supervision of Lang Tingji, the gouvernor of Jiangxi province from 1705 to 1712 during the Kangxi reign (1662-1722). The wares made at the Imperial porcelain factory during this period are called Lang ware or Lang yao in Chinese. Of all wares made during this period the red monochrome "Lang yao red" (Lang yao hong) is the most famous.
